What is SiteLauncher Pocket?

SiteLauncher Pocket is a more mobile friendly version of SiteLauncher that has been formatted to work better with smaller displays. The original SiteLauncher was designed with tablets in mind, and when run on smartphones, it becomes harder to use without a larger screen. Pocket keeps all of the same functionality as the original SiteLauncher, just in a more bite-sized package.

Visiting a site

To visit a website that is displayed in your list, simply select it by tapping on it. The selected website will open in a new browser window on your device.

Returning to SiteLauncher

To return to SiteLauncher after opening a new website, select the option within your mobile browser that displays all available websites currently open. Depending on the browser, this button will look different. When you see the list, locate the SiteLauncher Pocket tab and select it to return to SiteLauncher Pocket.

If you do not see SiteLauncher Pocket listed as an open tab, return to your home screen on your mobile device and select the SiteLauncher app shortcut to reopen SiteLauncher Pocket within your browser.

Selecting a new Category

If you do not see a particular website listed in your existing URL list, it may be because it is listed in another Category. Your list of selectable categories are contained within the dropdown menu accessible by selecting the options marker on the top right of the screen. Your current Category is marked within that list with a blue dot indicator. To change your current URL list to that of another Category, select the desired Category from the drop-down menu. The list of websites and title in the header will update itself to the newly selected Category.

Troubleshooting

SiteLauncher Pocket is not loading properly

If you are seeing issues with how SiteLauncher is rendered on your mobile device, it may be because the Pocket web app is not loading. Check the URL to see if it ends with /pocket. If it doesn't, add /pocket to the end of your current URL and load the new web path. If you are still having problems with rendering, please let us know at SiteLauncher@att.com with the device you are using and its OS version.

A website will not load when selected

If selecting a website loads an incorrect website or a 404 error, then the URL of the website may be incorrect or the website itself may be down. If you can still see your list of Categories and websites, then SiteLauncher is working properly. Please contact your Administrator and notify them of the issue.

If selecting the website does not initiate page load in a new tab, then please contact us and let us know.

Selecting a new Category does not load its website list

If selecting a Category loads a blank list, then that Category may not have been populated yet by your Administrator.

If selecting a previously populated Category now reveals a blank list or the list has changed, it's possible your Admin could currently be making changes. Please contact us with the issue so we can perform a follow-up.
